B&E Suspect Caught in Dumpster

Delaware County, OH – July 25, 2014

At 4:30 a.m. today the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Division of Police captured 38-year-old Kenyatta Keeno behind Aficionado’s in Lewis Center. Two CPD officers in the area responded to the scene at 8909 South Old State Road within minutes. Shortly thereafter, the officers and sheriff’s deputies located Keeno hiding in a dumpster behind Aficionado’s. He was unarmed and was taken into custody without incident.

Keeno is charged with breaking & entering and possessing criminal tools, both felony charges, as well as the misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging/endangering. He is being held in the Delaware County Jail, awaiting arraignment.

Sheriff’s deputies believe Keeno may also be responsible for a burglary earlier in the morning at Kohinoor Indian Cuisine, one mile west of where he was captured.

Keeno was arrested and found guilty of similar charges in Powell last fall. He served 180 days in the Delaware County Jail and was released in March 2014.
