Delaware County, OHIO – The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office has named Ron Krueger as director of the Delaware County Jail. A graduate of the FBI National Academy, Krueger brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience to the Sheriff’s Office.
Originally from Michigan, Krueger began his law enforcement career as a Corrections Officer with the Macomb County (Michigan) Sheriff’s Office. He advanced to the position of Commander of Jail Operations. He has also served as the Chief of Police in three jurisdictions.
Krueger earned a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University.
“We are very fortunate to land an executive with such varied law enforcement experience,” says Delaware County Sheriff Russell Martin. “He comes to us with the unique perspective of having served the public as a street deputy as well as a corrections officer. His leadership skills and work values are very much in line with what I believe are critical to run a jail as efficiently as possible.”
Krueger is married with two grown sons, and two grandchildren.
